Tamboerskloof is one of Cape Town's oldest residential neighbourhoods, with huge, elegant Victorian-style mansions coexisting with art deco in an eclectic mix of architectural styles. Tamboerskloof is located between Gardens and the Cape Peninsula National Park, right outside Long Street at the foot of Lion's Head, and offers breathtaking views.
Tamboerskloof is a short walk from Kloof Street, the city's restaurant mile. There are delightful bookstores and antique stores to explore, as well as sidewalk cafés.
